Greetings! I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a great time with Asa's family and ate many wonderful foods. It was good to see family as they are mostly a 2 hour drive from us. The weather was perfect and civility reigned! You can't ask for much more than that. Now, we will see how things go with MY family this saturday. There's already been enough drama to start our own soap opera but I am determined to make the most of it and have fun!
I will be able to set aside more time for blogging and blog reading which I am so happy about! I can't wait to catch up w/you wonderful people. I hope there's pictures! I'm looking forward to the blessing I get when I visit others blogs. New info, new insights, new pictures…it's all good!
Have a great day and I'll be visiting you!

So it’s Monday again and I am still cleaning. I had kept myself busy last week w/just ‘picking up’ things here and there and not doing a whole lot of ‘deep’ cleaning. Trust me there’s still plenty of surface stuff! Well, today I tackled (literally)our bedroom closet and sorting my clothes. WHAT WAS I THINKING??!!
Ok, so it wasn’t THAT bad. But, put it this way, I will have donated enough clothes and household items to clothe and keep a small third world country warm and operational! Just doing my part for the Kingdom!
I just never took the time to go through my clothes and weed out the ones that don’t fit or that I won’t wear/need anymore. It sure feels good though. I actually have a lot of clothes left over so I don’t feel like I have nothing to wear anymore! I actually do now. I found a huge rolling duffle bag w/some of my winter clothes and some tops in it so I just added them to my wardrobe. It was like I won a free shopping spree! (When we moved after the wedding it just kind of ended up in the closet and then things were piled on top of it and there it’s been sitting…can anyone relate?)
It was hard looking at all of the smaller clothes I USED to fit into though. You know, sickening sizes like 12’s and 14’s and the like. I’m getting back there though. I’m hanging onto the 8 pounds I lost recently for dear life! Now it’s just ADDING to the total amount! It was a very inspiring moment actually. It kind of refueled my resolve to not give up on being any size smaller than I am now. Speaking of that, I better drag out the treadmill and start sweating. Must stay focused…!

at my great friend Ali's home awaiting any news from the labor/delivery of baby #6! Kids 1-5, Love and I are just hanging around playing and visiting. Earlier the moms went for a quick Target run and came back just in time for lunch. You would have thought we weren't expected back by all of the “I'm hungry” and “Can we have lunch?” comments! Well, the bag was packed and the time came to leave and go have a baby. We are very excited and Grandma should be here soon. Then comes dinner and phase 2-'the changing of the guard'. I really hope I will be going home via a detour to the hospital to see the new arrival though! Where's that call?…
So if you have a spare moment, go check out Ali's blog and say a prayer that all goes well. We are praying for NO complications for mom or baby. Thanks guys!

Well, today is the start of a new week. A week where I don’t have to work! God is soooo good! It is actually kind of strange. WHen I think about planning my day there’s this little thing inside that triggers the following conversation in my head:
"Ok, today I’ll do such and such and then this and that."
"Don’t forget you have to work at 3pm…"
"Oh yeah…OH NO I DON"T!"
"I have the WHOLE day to do as I need, want and please!"
(enter angelic Hallelujah choir with rays of Heavenly beams of light here)
I know it seems silly, but I have had to work this shift for a LONG time. Even yesterday after church I was feeling rushed at times and had to remind myself to enjoy the time of fellowship b/c I didn’t need to be anywhere at 4pm!
I’m sure I’ll get used to it in no time. My time is already being filled with little tasks at home and for others. It is sooooo exciting! I am so grateful and feel so blessed!
Have a great day today all! I KNOW I WILL!

Well, a lot has been going on. I worked my last scheduled shift this Monday and it went well. Most everybody has expressed their shock and disappointment of my leaving. I was actually quite surprised w/all of the catty-ness that was going on. I will still pick up hours here and there on an 'if you need me, call me' type of basis. That also allows me to visit my clients and keep a relationship w/them-the one reason I was staying on so long other than financially needing to. Looking back, this has been very good for us. Already the Lord has provided income and ways to get income by helping others. It's been a really great transition too. I'm happy, Love's happy and my husband is happy and he even apologized for not trusting sooner (I'm not sure he needed to, but I gladly forgave him!). I apologized for not being more peaceful in my trusting his timing (I wasn't bouncing off the walls, but I wasn't exactly sitting quietly either!). I think we all learned something out of this. I learned to trust my husband and he learned to trust the Lord, and me. That, is worth the temporary discomfort. Lovebug is also happy about it and has come to a point where she has begged me to NOT send her back to public school! (I'll elaborate on that next time.) Peace has been restored, we have been more productive in our house cleaning efforts and have accomplished tons in that department. Our house is becoming a home and our family is finding its identity.
I have taken on a few babysitting roles and I started tutoring a student at the local private Christian school.House cleaning is also showing a promising response. I'm sure there are other things on the horizon as well. It's so good to be in the home though!
We are now able to be involved in a care group, now that I don't have to always be at work. I have also accepted a role on our Publications committee at church and we are getting 'plugged into' our church more than ever now because of my newly found availablility. We are on the worship team at our church and can now do more such as lead and be at meetings, conferences and community events. It has been so sweet. We are also able to have more fellowship w/friends and it is just all around a good thing!
Now if we could just get pregnant… 🙂
Hope all is well with you and yours,
